# Painter & Educator, Al Gury

> Al Gury is an artist, educator, and author. Al paints figures, landscapes, still lifes and portraits, integrating a number of elements in his work: richness in color, poetry and expression in the images, and and strength in the technical execution of  the paintings and drawings. He is currently a full professor at PAFA in the Painting Department and is the author of three books on drawing, painting and the use of color. Over the past 10 years he has also fostered over 800 kittens and cats.
